This is the villain of Komodo Dragon Girl. I should mention at this point that this comic is a comedy/superhero that is being created based on characters that my 4 year old daughter is coming up with on her own. I am modifying them/concepting them out to create a special birthday present comic for her. The night stalker is her villain and this is my concept.
He’s mostly mechanical, although it would appear not always that way. He has goggles and a moisture trap strapped on his face to keep humidity from causing his insides to rust.

Another character in my ongoing development of Komodo Dragon Girl. This is her best friend Heyahommy (pronounced like it’s spelled). He’s a little unsure of what he refers to as her “super hero phase”, but he gives her a hand whenever she needs it.

Here’s try one for the design of the work bike. All pieces are bent and the frame is ready for assembly.

Here’s a couple of drawings for today. Skulls are fun to draw, you know.

I was thinking politics, so I came up with this guy. I thought I’d actually finish one out, so here’s the sketch and the final. You can see the modification of adding a sign in his hand, couldn’t think of anything clever to put in it though…

This sketch is something I’m playing with… Komodo Dragon Girl. She’s a tough girl with a laser cannon growing out of her arm. Radioactive komodo dragon bites will do crazy things like that.

Took off on the 20th… you know. Anyways, no sketches that day, obviously, but here’s a start for the week. I’m building a dutch work bike. Find more info here or here. I’ve never built a bike before, so this is an all encompassing project. If it works, I will be building more, as it’s really fun. I plan on posting some pics of progress over on my other blog, Urban Green Acres. Don’t bother to click, it’s empty. Yes, I just started blogging and I’m not so good about it yet. My wife and I are working on it.
This sketch is my bike I’m building to haul the kiddies around in, hopes of ditching the car (long time dream, not just cuz of gas prices, see peak oil).

I don’t know what the hell I’m doing here, but I thought I’d start posting an online sketchbook, just for the hell of it. I’m basically working with a wacom tablet and inkpad on a mac. I’m a graphic designer and I play around at work to stay fresh. Why not post my madness for the world to enjoy (or hate)?
First sketch? A monster…
